We are in a dystopian future where the world as we know it no longer exists. Altea lives in a clearing she is forbidden to leave, where she is forced to perform a series of rituals every day, imposed by her “creator” and deemed essential to the survival of the human species.

The final ritual requires her to give up her sight: only by becoming blind, Altea will be able to truly “see” the world for what it really is, thus becoming an adult and purifying her soul.

But first, Altea has one final goal: to discover what lies beyond the clearing.
