TYPE: Feature Film
DIRECTOR: Giuliano Giacomelli
DURATION: 120′

In a small village in central Italy, the community is suddenly shaken by the arrival of a ruthless serial killer targeting the town’s children. The press dubbed it “the Monster of Lower Lazio”. In that small valley surrounded by the Liri River, where nothing like this has ever happened and where a simple lifestyle with agricultural traits is still practiced, the community is now frightened and never before taking refuge in the faith.
Who is the Monster of Lower Lazio? And how does one stop such a cruel killer? Most importantly, how do the values of a community change when it is shaken by such shocking events?
Porcelain Bodies abandoned in the Sun on a Scorching Summer in Central Italy was born from the desire to stage an atypical thriller, not indifferent to the international lesson but strongly anchored to exquisitely Italian customs and traditions.
The film is shot on 35mm 2-perf film, a special technique used by great masters like Sergio Leone.

In the early post-war period, a group of women undertook a long journey across Italy selling some products to support their families.
Some called them the sedonere. For many, they were the furlane. An agricultural female world that, moved by necessity and the spirit of survival, made an unconscious journey towards more modern forms of emancipation.
The documentary aims to intercept the last surviving sedonere, who spent their youth in adventure, pushing a heavy cart with iron wheels, dragging it under the sun or the weather and sleeping every night in makeshift shelters.
